Abdabis LLC ("Abdabis") believes that technology should serve everyone. We want abdabis.com, www.abdabis.com and our subdomains (the "Site") to be usable by people of all abilities, including people who use assistive technologies.
1. Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning and neurological disabilities. We use them as our benchmark for compliance with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable accessibility laws.
2. Measures we have taken
- Readable without scripts. All text on the Site is real, selectable HTML text and remains readable when JavaScript is turned off.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the Site stops its particle animation, does not pin or slide sections, shows every animated element in its final state and presents the simulated software system as a static picture with its full description.
- Structure. Pages use semantic HTML, a logical heading order, landmark regions and descriptive link text, so they can be navigated with screen readers and by headings.
- Keyboard access. Navigation, links, buttons, the contact form and the cookie notice can be operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text alternatives. Images that convey information have text alternatives. Decorative graphics and animations are hidden from assistive technologies, and the information they illustrate is also provided as text.
- Contrast and resizing. We design for sufficient color contrast and test that pages reflow at narrow widths and when text is enlarged.
- Forms. Contact form fields have visible labels, required fields are identified, and status messages are announced to assistive technologies.
- Cookie notice. The cookie notice is a non-modal panel that does not trap focus, offers "Accept" and "Reject" with equal prominence, and can be dismissed with the Escape key.
3. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:
- The interactive animations on the Site, such as the particle field, the simulated software system and the layered AI diagram, are visual. We provide the same information in text next to them, but the animations themselves cannot be perceived non-visually.
- The scrolling effects on large screens may be disorienting for some visitors. Setting your device to reduce motion turns them off.
- Content provided by third parties, such as websites we link to, is outside our control.
We are working to address these limitations and we welcome your feedback.
4. Compatibility
The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge) on desktop and mobile devices, and with common screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS. It may not display optimally in older browsers.
5. Feedback and assistance
If you have difficulty accessing any part of the Site, or would like information in an alternative format, please contact us at info@abdabis.com with the subject line "Accessibility." Please tell us the web address of the page, the problem you encountered and the assistive technology you use, if any. We aim to respond within five (5) business days and will work with you to provide the information or service you need through an alternative means.
6. Review
We review the Site's accessibility when we make significant changes to it and at least once a year. This statement was last reviewed on the date shown at the top of this page.
